After spring midterms, the rest of the semester feels like it flies by. As IUPUI students scramble to get semester projects finished and daydream about summer vacation, we at The Campus Citizen are working towards big changes in the next couple of months. As many of our editors and writers are graduating in May, and we are looking to hire a Campus Editor, Sports Editor, Culture Editor, Marketing Director and a Social Media Manager. Below are the requirements for each position:
Campus Editor
-Must have a passion for sharing stories from IUPUI students, staff and faculty
-Knowledge of AP style guidelines
-Timeliness, organization and good communication skills
-Applicants MUST be a student in the Department of Journalism and Public Relations
Sports Editor
-A deep understanding of IUPUI athletics
-Timeliness, organization and good communication skills (this job requires you to communicate with local professional sports teams)
-Knowledge of AP style guidelines
-Applicants MUST be a student in the Department of Journalism and Public Relations
Culture Editor
-Have a passion for covering local art, including music, visual art, film and food
-Good communication skills
-Knowledge of AP style guidelines
-Timeliness and organization
-Applicants MUST be a student in the Department of Journalism and Public Relations
Marking Director
-Journalism experience preferred
-Good communication skills
-Graphic design experience
-Good communication skills, organization and timeliness
-Background in customer service preferred
Social Media Manager
-Journalism experience preferred
-Must have a good understanding of all social media platforms and how to use them to build engagement
-Photography and graphic design experience preferred
